Top 10 Reasons to Get a Mac

I am in no way a Mac-head or an Apple Fan Boy but I have been asked for the top 10 reasons to get a Mac instead of a PC -- Without the obvious, "it's a fun new toy" remark.  I decided to poll the community (Strands, Facebook and Twitter) and these are my results:

I must admit that it took some time adjusting, but overall, I now prefer a mac over PC!

What were some of your reservations when switching machines?

Chris, that's unfortunate that you had that kind of experience with an Apple product. I haven't seen that happen with any others but I really haven't used too many MacBooks (besides the fiancee's computer).

Had a MacBook for $1800, included CARE program. AWESOME....if you have messed up CD's/DVD's...this thing eats them and won't give them back!!! An $1800 garbage can with technical support!!!

I had to pass on the Iphone, because I just didn't want to take the chance of a $200 walkie talkie with a 2 year committment and expensive monthly charge.

1. Costumer Service is only required for problem solving. This implies problems.
2. Installing Windows on a Mac would imply that the user is unhappy with Mac OS X, or Mac OS X is incompetent in some manner.
3. Security is largely untested. I will give you that Macs are less likely to obtain malware, but this is a product of 6% market share, not OS superiority.
4. Windows 7 can and will download drivers for you.
5. Having Apple control everything leads to a "my way or the highway" mentality not found on other computers.
6. Nice looking GUI and form factor. Not much to argue here, but I will say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Additionally, form often takes precedence over function (See: Macbook Air)
7. If you're interested in Unix, Linux is both free and readily available.
8. Repeat of 3. Is this a simple mistake, or is it not possible to find a tenth reason?
9. Macs now come with and actual mice. Imagine if Mac keyboards only had half the letters? It's rediculous.
10. Macs cost at the very least $400 more. They can cost upwards of $2000 more.
