Secret Millionaire -- a great concept and executed well

I'm not usually a fan of reality TV.   Magda watches a million shows that seem to be nothing more than a bunch of people running around like chickens with their heads cut off but I decided to sit down the other day and check out Secret Millionaire (on a friend's recommendation).

All I can say is, "Wow!" Not only was this show entertaining, humorous at parts and very heart string-tugging at others, but it was genuine as well. The givers on this show are real millionaires and the recipients are real people who really need the money. These are people who are down on their luck due to no fault of their own. They've spent their lives trying to make things work and it's just never enough.  The show ties in really well with the folks from GeeksWhoGive and should be a lesson to all of us.

One episode had a man who many of us in the tech community know.  Gurbaksh Chahal, from BlueLithium, is a serial entrepreneur. He has spent his life building new ideas and mastering the art of the businessman.  Now, he gives back.  Check out the show over at Hulu and read up on G's blog.  It's inspiring and eye-opening to see someone so close to our community give back in the way that G did.

Jon,
Cool stuff! I love the boat and can't wait to get back on it in the spring time. Kinda wishing it was as nice here as it is in LA all year round. Hope you come back soon and do let me know if you're ever in the Philadelphia area.
