IgnitePhilly RAWK'D the house!

IgnitePhillyThis weekend has been a whirlwind of great events, awesome people and lots and lots of alcohol.  Last night was no exception.  IgnitePhilly blew the walls off of Johnny Brenda's, again, with incredible presentations.  They ranged from the insightful (Pneumatic Tubes by Molly Wright Steenson) to the down right bizarre (4-D Computing).  No matter what your interests were, Ignite had you covered.

I was going to write a summary post about the event but in true, incredible journalistic fashion, Sean Blanda from TechnicallyPhilly, got the summary (and unofficial awards) up right away.  Check out a small piece of it and then jump over to their site for the whole shebang:
On a beautiful clear night in May, listening to a lecture is the last place many people would want to be.

Tell that to the 250 people crammed into Fishtown bar Johnny Brenda’s for the third Ignite Philly. The kinda-sorta biannual event featured fifteen presenters lecturing on topics ranging from making our power grid smarter to music made by laptops to a camp that teaches young women how to form a rock band. And that’s without mentioning Viddler’s proposed cure for male-pattern baldness.

It really was awesome.

We're sorry you missed it to. I'll have to check out Cut Off Your Hands a bit later. Don't want to disturb the guy sitting in front of me.
