How do you like New York so far?

"How do you like New York so far?"This has been the single most asked questions since I moved to NYC a few months ago (wow it's been a few months!). The simple answer is, it's amazing, the people rock and the food is outstanding.
The long answer is:
- New York is nothing like Philly which isn't bad or good... Just different.
- It's a bit more costly to live here but I've found ways of making life easier. Namely, happy hours are a great place to start. ( Three of my favorites so far happen to be on the same block in Soho: Jin, La Barra Cevicheria and Lolita Bar.)
- Food is in an overabundance and for those who know me well, that makes me happier than almost anything else. Whether it's Korean, Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Kosher or pub food it's just around the corner no matter where you turn.
- New York is so much larger which is pretty cool. I get to see a whole lot more people and around every bend is a new area to explore.
- The people up here are some of the coolest, nicest and fast-moving people I've ever met. The LivePerson family is great and everyone else I've met in NYC have been super awesome.
- Finally, the fact that there are so many pockets of great groups is pretty amazing. In Philadelphia it was much easier to get to know almost everyone in the tech industry. Up here, every event I've been too has led to meeting even more new and interesting people. They all have something pretty unique to bring to the table.
"Do you miss Philly?"
Yep, that's the second most asked question (actually they're usually asked together). As you can tell, I'm very excited to be here. Don't get me wrong, Philly, I miss you lots and in a few years I'll probably be back. But for now I'm living everyday to the fullest and loving it.
Cheers!
