My very first impressions of Google Buzz

Wow!

Okay, that was an impression, not impressions but you get the point.  It's not the technology that wows me but the implementation of it.

My social network shouldn't need to be built, I already have it.  I use email, Skype, and Google Chat to communicate with people and I shouldn't need to reimport my address book every time I want to refresh my connections on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and all 700 other sites I belong to (I just did this with Facebook yet again).  Google Buzz fixes this by linking you automagically to those that you already have a connection to.  This saves time, makes sure I'm not missing the buzz (no pun intended) and keeps me up to date on what's happening around me.

In addition, having the ability to share rich media is a big deal.  I am not a fan of having to crawl through my Twitter client looking for short links that don't stand out to videos and pictures and then loading them in a separate browser to make sure I can view the media properly.  Sure some clients have meandered around this by letting me view pictures and video right in the client but when a new provider comes into play, that client needs to update again.  This isn't a problem with Buzz because it's built right in.

Do I see this as a game changer?  Yes.  But do I see it blowing Twitter killer?  No.  There are way too many uses for Twitter that are super valuable but I see this as being huge in the corporate and mobile workforce that needs to stay connected.  What are your thoughts on Google Buzz?
